Replying to posts on our forum
You can register on our site and help answer questions on our forum by taking a few minutes each week. We allow you to subscribe to forums you are interested in, so that you will get notifications when there are posts. If you do not like getting emails, you can check the forum when you get time to see if there are any questions that you can add input on. If you are very busy, you can always just give us your details here and we will contact you when there is a question that goes unanswered and is in your area of expertise.
Writing articles about your experiences or areas that you are knowledgeable in
We have multiple publishing partnerships with major Sri Lankan newspapers such as the Sunday Observer, where we run columns with member written articles. You can contribute by writing anything from your experience finding the correct higher education path to more specialized topics such as how to prepare for standardization exams. You can see examples of previous articles on our resources section.
Contributing your technical skills and help us maintain our site
We are always looking for eager volunteers to make our site more user friendly and richer in content. You can help in multiple ways. If you are experienced in web development you can directly get involved with our web team. Even if you do not have much web development experience, get in touch with us and we can find a way you can contribute.
Help us discover useful content and improve our site
SL2College has many avenues through which we get content to our community. You can help us manage and improve these many sources. For example, you can help us find new content to be featured on our YouTube Channel or work on building new partnerships with non-profit education focused organizations. They are many more opportunities, so do not hesitate to contact us and get involved!
Become a mentor
Work one-on-one with a student we match with you and help guide them to achieve their higher education goals. For example, if you have done your medical studies in India and willing to mentor others, we will match you with another student that wants to study medicine. You will be able to guide this student to pick the correct options to follow their educational goals. For more details, please see the mentor program information page.
Tell your friends and family about SL2College and spread the word
Its very simple and takes only a few minutes! Tell your friends and family about SL2College and its value to them. If you have friends that are thinking about higher education options, ask them to visit us and post a question. If you have friends that have started their higher education, ask them to join us as advisors and help other Sri Lankan students. A few minutes of you time can make a significant difference in another Sri Lankans life. If they do not want to get involved directly, they can provide contact details through our Student Database (we will contact them only when there are specific questions relating to their domain, that go unanswered on our forum).
